Our story dates back to the late 19th century, when a family of Basque origin emigrated to Chile in search of new opportunities. There, in the cities of Valparaíso and Arica, they founded an upholstery business that, over time, became a regional benchmark between the 1940s and 1980s, specializing in the manufacturing and installation of seats for Citroën and Peugeot vehicles.

Since then, this way of understanding work—caring for every detail, valuing high-quality materials, and putting heart into every piece—has been passed down from generation to generation. At Tapicería Tarraco, we have inherited that artisanal philosophy and kept it alive, combining it with standardized production methods and fully personalized services.

Over time, and without ever losing sight of our roots, we have successfully adapted to new challenges and market demands by incorporating more efficient processes, cutting-edge materials, and innovative techniques—always staying true to the artisanal essence that defines us. In recent years, we have taken a significant step forward by specializing in highly demanding sectors such as luxury marine upholstery, working on interiors for mega yachts, where every seam and texture must convey exclusivity, comfort, and perfection.
